Tenuere-Track Assistant Professor Position – University of Illinois, Springfield – Legal Studies

The Department of Legal Studies in the College of Public Affairs and Administration at the University of Illinois Springfield (UIS), seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position with an expertise in the field of legal studies. (We are particularly interested in teacher-scholars with a background in law and society and/or comparative law.) Applicants must have a Ph.D. in a related discipline, or a JD from an ABA accredited law school, or foreign equivalent, with a preference for candidates who hold both a Ph.D. and a JD. The position will begin on August 16, 2018. The candidate must be willing to work as a member of a collegial, interdisciplinary faculty and must be able to teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels with expertise in legal studies that builds on our current research and teaching expertise. Teaching experience at the college or university level is required. The position carries a 3-3 teaching load.
